Rubbles and Sands |
From the porphyry shattering we obtain sands and rubbles that are employed for particular concretes and mortars, where exceptional hardness, roughness and resistance are required.
The sand must not contain absolutely any earthy or organic matter, and must be well washed.
The size of the elements must range between 0 and 4 mm.
The rubbles, in the various sizes, must correspond to the following types of granulometry:
- washed sand 0/4
- dry sand 0/4
- grit 4/8
-rubble 8/12
-rubble 12/16
-ballast 30/60
-non-washed rubble 30/60
-stabilized 0/30
-natural stabilized 0/50
On request, different sizes can be employed.
Sands and rubbles must come exclusively from the porphyry mines in Trentino; the weight loss for water decantation must not be greater than 2 %.
