Small cubes

The small cubes are solid, roughly cubic, obtained by mechanical breaking and with edge varying according to their type.

They are distinguished, according to the edge length (in cm), in the following types:

4/6 - 6/8 - 8/10 - 10/12 - 12/14 and 14/18.

Every type includes only elements with edges with length ranging between the above-cited limits (at the most 1 cm more or less). The various edges of the small cube do not have to be necessarily equal, and the various faces do not have to be necessarily orthogonal to one another. The upper surface of the cube will have to be natural, right as it gets out of the mine, and with no excessive roughness. The four side-faces are obtained by hydraulic cleft (they are not sawed) and then they have a rougher and slightly acute surface.

a) the type 4/6 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from 90 to 100 Kg;

b) the type 6/8 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from 130 to 140 Kg.;

c) the type 8/10 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from 180 to 190 Kg.;

d) the type 10/12 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from  220 to 250 Kg.;

e) the type 12/14 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from  280 to 300 Kg.;

f) the type 14/18 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from  330 to 350 Kg;

g) the type 10x10 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from  90 to 110 Kg;

h) the type 8x8 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from  90 to 110 Kg;

i) the type 10x10 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from  130 to 145 Kg

l) the type 8x8 3/7 (colours: purple, red, grey) will have a weight per square meter (measured after the work), ranging from  130 to 145 Kg

Every type includes cubes of various size within the limits that define the type itself (1 cm more or less at the most). The rock will have to be substantially uniform and compact and with no weathered parts. The rocks with such subdivision plains as to determine the breakup of the elements after the laying must be excluded.

The cubes can be supplied: loose, in boxes, in bags or in other containers suitable for transportation.
